Founder & Host of the Fort Lauderdale Tech Meetup, promoting local connectivity and development for the tech community

Julia Lucidi is the host and founder of the Fort Lauderdale Tech Meetup, a monthly social gathering open to startup founders, investors and tech leaders with the objective to strengthen the local tech community, building valuable relationships, driving forth the growth and visibility of the incredible business community. The meetup has been the fastest growing tech meetup in South Florida, gathering 1,800 tech leaders within it’s first 12 editions. Current and past sponsors include Delta Air Lines, Tesla, General Provision Workspaces, Buchanan Law, Cogent Bank and others.

Pioneered CIC Miami’s first educational curriculum to support international founders in their US expansion

Julia’s development of the program allowed her to offer support to over 100 tech and life science founders, running 7 cohort editions of the program in 2 years. Curriculum partners included award-winning MIT startup mentors, Silicon Valley Bank and Endeavor Miami's investor network. Julia designed the program concept, developed the curriculum, engaged partners, promoted and secured high-potential startup founders, and delivered the program with exceptional ratings by all parties. She also developed a Latin America and US PR strategy, while serving as the CIC's spokesperson and expert on the topic of international soft landing.

Strengthened the Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Strategy at The Coca-Cola Company Brasil

Julia restructured the company’s entrepreneurship programs in order to better support early-stage startups in the Amazon region, bringing Coca-Cola’s resources and network to guide the growth of entrepreneurs in the region.

She also led change management campaigns, shedding light on the impact Coca-Cola carries through its supply chain, and local communities. She was able to successfully integrate new sustainability markers into the company's marketing business plan, while also increasing the visibility of the company’s sustainability programs to both internal and external stakeholders.

Led International Relations Strategies for Municipal Government Leaders in Rio de Janeiro

Julia facilitated international collaborations, focusing on attracting novel innovation and entrepreneurship projects to Rio de Janeiro. Successful collaborations included the Brazil Institute (Wilson Center), and Columbia University’s Earth Institute. She supported in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) in Rio – a partnership with Columbia University’s Earth Institute that introduced the Sustainability Goals to the City.

Led a 3-year Tech Ecosystem Development Strategy at Endeavor Brazil in Rio de Janeiro

Julia organized and launched the city’s first tech community building events and programs for entrepreneurs, directly serving 2,000 founders each year. Those events included the CEO Summit (now Scale-up Summit), Workshop Endeavor and eTalks. She also created and curated video and media articles for Endeavor.org.br, reaching millions of entrepreneurs through successful viral content on business strategy.

She strategized and implemented 3-year PR plan, reaching $10MM USD in earned media per year – including digital, print, television and radio, while also serving as spokesperson for media interviews. Julia helped several of Endeavor's portfolio companies in their first international positioning, such as Beleza Natural who was featured in Forbes. She also managed Endeavor's local mentor network, sponsors and partners increasing Endeavor’s local engagement and influence.

Head of the Global Entrepreneurship Network Committee delivering a 3-year strategy, including the largest Global Entrepreneurship Week turn out internationally

Julia was responsible for leading and defining the committee’s 3-year goals and strategy. Overseeing over 100 partner events throughout the state for 3 consecutive years for Global Entrepreneurship Week. She developed long-term strategic relations and projects among 12 key organizations including the city of Rio de Janeiro, Rede Globo (Brazil's biggest TV network), Brasil Junior, Federal Universities and other institutions.

In 2012 Julia hosted Brazil’s Global Entrepreneurship Week opening event in Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with the Federal Government. Brazil was shortly after recognized as the biggest Global Entrepreneurship Week globally, placing Rio as the chosen city for the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) in 2013 - Richard Branson was the headline speaker. Under Julia’s leadership, the committee also hosted 20 strategic satellite events during GEC. Julia also led PR strategy, and served as spokesperson for media interviews.

Supported American Eagle Consultants with their recruiting, sales training and strategic positioning in the financial planning industry

Julia improved the revenue streams and processes for a family-owned financial advising company, increasing their sales, customer retention and brand positioning in the market. She managed their online presence engaging the community through webinar, publishing the company’s first book and multiple online learning programs. Her contributions were spread across two separate seasons with the company, having been able to support them in different stages of their growth.
